Insider tip from Switzerland
The H. Moser & Cie. Swiss Alp Watch is unquestionably a mechanical timepiece, but its appearance is reminiscent of a modern smartwatch. In addition to the rectangular case shape, it is above all the reduced dial design that achieves the desired effect. On the dial, which is covered with Vantablack®, you can see an unusual interplay of hands: the hour and minute hands have been coloured completely black with a DLC coating, which is why they only stand out minimally from the black Vantablack® background. The highlight of the design is undoubtedly the small seconds, whose design is based on a digital charge indicator. The constant rotation of the seconds disc gives the H. Moser & Cie. Swiss Alp the impression that the presumed tech gadget has "crashed".
